Olivet Discourse

Just days before his crucifixion, Jesus left Jerusalem’s temple area toward the Mount of Olives east of the city. His disciples were amazed at the glorious gold building shining in the sun, but Jesus predicted that the temple would soon be so destroyed that no stone would lie on top of another. This led Jesus to preach one of his ministry’s most significant messages, The Olivet Discourse. It explains the temple destruction but goes even beyond this to highlight the signs before his return.
